Lucknow Today News: A major accident has happened during the construction of the river front on the banks of the Kukrail river in Lucknow. The pit dug for the construction of the river front was filled with water, in which two children drowned today. After this information, there was a stir in the area. After which the local people reached the water-filled pit.
Development work was going on on the river bank, due to which the pit was filled with water. A girl slipped and fell into the water. The other child who went to save her also drowned in the water. Both of them died in this situation. As soon as the people present there came to know about this, they reached the spot and started the rescue operation and tried to find the children in the water filled pit and both the children were taken out, but by then it was too late. Both the children had died in this situation.
Two died due to drowning in Kukrail river
The local people informed the police about this terrible accident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. By then the rescue operation had been started by the local people, but the children could not be saved and both the children died due to drowning. Both the children were children of a labourer living in a hut. This incident is from Abrar Nagar Khurram Nagar Chowki of Lucknow.
Police engaged in investigation
Let us tell you that Kukrail Riverfront is being constructed on the lines of Sabarmati Riverfront in Lucknow. Its construction work is in progress. Excavation for the river front is going on. Meanwhile, two children died by drowning in the excavated pit. After which the police was informed. The local police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem and the police has started investigating the case.
Accident caused by slipping of feet
