Indian Police Service (IPS) officer TV Ravichandran was on Tuesday appointed as Deputy National Security Adviser. He is a 1990 batch officer of Tamil Nadu cadre and is currently holding the post of Special Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB).
At the same time, Rajinder Khanna, former chief of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), has been appointed as Additional National Security Advisor (NSA). Both the officers will remain in these posts for two years from the day they take charge. This information was given in a notification issued by the National Security Council Secretariat.
