“On Thursday (July 25) I look forward to welcoming Netanyahu to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida,” Trump posted on the social media platform Truthout.

Netanyahu is on a US tour and is in Washington. On Wednesday, he will address a joint session of the US Congress for the fourth time, the only foreign leader to do so. Apart from this, he will also meet President Joe Biden at the White House on Thursday.

‘Israel will remain America’s ally’

Before leaving for the US tour, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu had said that Israel will always remain an ally of the United States. We are committed to our alliance with America regardless of the results of the presidential election.

Praising US President Joe Biden, Netanyahu said, “This will be an opportunity to thank Biden for all he has done for Israel during his long and distinguished career in public service as a senator, vice president and president.”

‘No matter who the American people elect as president, Israel will remain a strong ally’

Netanyahu said, “I will tell my friends on both sides of the aisle that no matter who the American people choose as their next president, Israel will remain America’s indispensable and strongest ally in the Middle East.”

UN relief agency declared a terrorist organization in Israel

The Israeli parliament gave preliminary approval on Monday to a bill to declare the key UN agency that provides relief to Palestinians a terrorist organisation, a move that would see Israel sever ties with the body.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is working prominently for Palestinian refugees. UNRWA provides education, health and assistance to millions of Palestinians in Gaza, West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. Israeli leaders have accused it of collaborating with Hamas in Gaza. The vote against it is considered to be Israel’s latest step to put pressure against the agency.
