Kedarnath Temple in Delhi: The priests of Kedarnath Dham staged a sit-in protest and raised slogans for the second day in protest against the construction of a replica of the Kedarnath temple in Delhi. If no action is taken in this matter, the priest community as well as the Char Dham Mahapanchayat have warned to intensify the agitation. On Sunday, priests, saints, traders and pilgrims gathered in the temple premises and raised strong slogans against the government over the foundation stone laying of the symbolic temple of Kedarnath Dham being built in Delhi.
The priests of the pilgrimage said that the construction of Kedarnath temple in Delhi is against religious tradition. It is being constructed against Sanatan traditions. Baba resides in the Himalayas and you should not misuse that name. This type of work should be stopped immediately. Chief priest Shiv Shankar Ling said that this is the Tapabhoomi of Nar-Narayan.
“We will overthrow the government”
Shiv Shankar Ling said that this is the Tapabhoomi of Pandavas and Lord Krishna. Do not spoil its name. The Tirtha Purohits registered their protest by raising slogans against the government. They said that if the government does not listen to the Tirtha Purohits, then they will destroy the government. If they know how to form a government, they will also uproot the government.
”CM Dhami messed with tradition”
Shiv Shankar Ling said that by taking the stone from Kedarnath Dham and installing it in Delhi, CM Dhami has tampered with the tradition of Kedarnath Dham. Former Kedar Sabha President Kishan Bagwadi said that some political people are establishing Kedarnath in Delhi. How can the Jyotirlinga itself reach Delhi. We want to question the mentality of those people. He questioned CM Dhami that Kedarnath temple is being built in Delhi for darshan throughout the year. Instead of increasing facilities in Kedarnath Dham, the government is increasing facilities in Delhi.
