After the death of an employee in the irrigation department in Jhansi, three wives reached there to ask for compassionate employment. The officers are baffled by the claims of three wives on one job. All three are demanding employment claiming themselves to be the first wife. All three have also presented documents related to marriage. Irrigation officers are busy investigating the matter.

Santosh Kumar, posted as a fourth class employee in Matatila irrigation block, died of cancer on February 6. After her husband’s death, Kranti Vanskar, a resident of Talbehat, came to demand a job in his place. She handed over Santosh’s death certificate, heir’s certificate and other documents to the officers.

A few days later, Bhopal resident Sunita Verma also reached the office. She called herself Santosh’s wife and requested for a job. When the officers asked for documents, Sunita also submitted the wedding card, photos and other documents.

The officers were shocked to see the documents of both of them. While the papers of these two were being scrutinized, Rajo, a resident of Talbehat, also reached Matatila office. She pleaded for a job, claiming to be Santosh’s wife. She also presented the family certificate issued by the SDM.
