This world is full of diversity. There are many beautiful countries in it. Every country has its own specialty. Today is the story of one such country which is almost equal to India in size while its population is only two crores. That means approximately 70 times less than the population of India. Every person here is the owner of thousands of acres of land. Actually, the name of the unique and wonderful country we are talking about is Kazakhstan. This is a country in Central Asia and the majority of the population here is Muslim. Its geographical location and historical heritage are magnificent.
There is no special reason to talk about this country today. Rather, we are discussing it only because of its relatively small population. The area of this country is 26.99 lakh square km. Whereas the area of our country India is 32.87 lakh square km. That means, in size, Kazakhstan is about five and a half lakh square km smaller than India. There are 488 people per square kilometer in India, whereas only eight people live per square kilometer in Kazakhstan. The total population of this country is only two crores. Of this, more than half i.e. about 55 percent of the population lives in urban areas.
landlocked country
This country, made up of vast deserts, mountains, valleys and dense forests, has only one biggest complaint. Nature has given it everything. But it has not been given a seashore. It is the largest landlocked country in the world. As far as modern Kazakhstan is concerned, it was a part of the Soviet Union till 1991. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, it became an independent country.
Kazakhstan is one of the richest countries in Central Asia. The per capita income here is US$ 14,569 annually. This amount in Indian rupees is more than Rs 12 lakh. That means every person here earns around one lakh rupees every month. This country has abundant natural resources. The oil and gas based economy of this country has progressed significantly in the last two decades. Talking about India, the per capita income here is around 2400 US dollars annually. This amount in rupees is approximately 1.85 lakh. That means Kazakhstan is far ahead of us in terms of income.
country of landlords
We are calling Kazakhstan a country of landlords because 75 percent of the land here is cultivable. At present, 37 percent of the land here is cultivated. The government is the biggest landlord here. She owns all the agricultural lands and gives these lands on lease to farmers and companies. The interesting thing is that the government of Kazakhstan has banned the sale of agricultural lands here to foreigners.
