Smriti Mandhana scored 117 runs in the first match of the ODI series against South Africa. After this, she scored 136 runs in the second match. In the third and last ODI, 90 runs came from her bat. In this way, she completed three centuries in four matches. This is the first occasion in Indian women’s cricket when a vice-captain has scored three centuries in four matches against the same team and missed a century in an innings by just 10 runs.
