New criminal laws have come into force from July 1. After this, the Indian Justice Code (BNS) will replace the IPC, the Indian Civil Protection Code (BNSS) will replace the CrPC and the Indian Evidence Act (BSA) will be implemented in place of the Indian Evidence Act. All three have been passed by the Parliament last year and have become law.
