Former England player 49-year-old Chris Silverwood took over as the head coach of the Sri Lanka cricket team in 2022. Prior to that he was the head coach of the England team. During his tenure, he led Sri Lanka to the T20 Asia Cup title, while the following year his team reached the final of the Asia Cup in the 50-over format.
