The enthusiasm of the devotees of Bhole Baba going on Amarnath Yatra is at its peak. The pilgrims are not stopping even amidst heavy rains. On Thursday, 5600 pilgrims proceeded towards the holy cave and 24978 pilgrims who had gone earlier had darshan of the ice shivling. On Wednesday, more than 30 thousand devotees had paid obeisance in a single day. In the seven days of the Yatra, the number of devotees who had darshan has crossed 1.25 lakh.

According to information, 4487 men, 1011 women, 10 children and 188 sadhus left for Baltal and Pahalgam route in the seventh batch from Jammu. Amid tight security, the batch left from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu in 219 vehicles after 3 am. In this, 3668 pilgrims left for Pahalgam and 2028 for Baltal base camp. The 52-day Amarnath Yatra started on June 29 from both the base camps in Kashmir and will end on August 19.

In the year 2023, more than 4.5 lakh devotees had darshan of Baba Barfani. The eighth batch of the Yatra is to leave from Jammu on Friday. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Center Srinagar has warned of heavy rain today and tomorrow. In such a situation, the Yatra may be disrupted but Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has not given any information for this.
