The number 8 bowler destroyed Australia’s batting, single-handedly attacked, resulting in a shameful defeat

New Delhi. Many upsets have been seen in the ICC T20 World Cup so far. The biggest upset among all of these was done by Afghanistan by defeating Australia on Sunday 23 June. However, before this, this team had also defeated New Zealand in the group stage. Chasing the target of 149 runs given by Afghanistan, the Australian team was all out for just 127 runs. Afghan team captain Rashid Khan called Gulbadin Naib to bowl at number 8 and this experienced player destroyed the batting order of the Kangaroo team.

Australia entered the Super 8 by winning four consecutive matches in the T20 World Cup. After winning the Super 8 match against Bangladesh, the team came out against Afghanistan. Everyone thought this match would be difficult but hardly anyone would have thought that Rashid Khan’s army would overpower the Kangaroo team. The amazing thing is that while batting, 7 bowlers did their job but the magic that the eighth option did changed the course of the match.

The eighth bowler turned the match around
Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan tried 8 bowlers in the match against Australia and the one who came in last turned the match around. Naveen Ul Haq gave Afghanistan a good start by taking two wickets. Then Mohammad Nabi took one wicket. Fazal Haq Farooqi, Noor Ahmed, Azmatullah Omarzai, Nangeyalia Kharote, and Rashid Khan had bowled. The 8th bowler Gulbadin Naib entered in the 10th over. This experienced bowler changed the match by taking 4 wickets for just 20 runs in 4 overs.

Top form batsman Marcus Stoinis, who was batting on 11 runs, was caught behind the wicket by Gulbadin. After this, Tim David was sent back by LBW. Gulbadin also took the wicket of Glenn Maxwell, who had scored a fifty while taking Australia out of trouble, but he got caught by Noor Ahmed on 59 runs. This great batsman took his fourth wicket by clean bowling Pat Cummins and by this time the match had gone out of Australia’s hands.
