New Delhi: In the final match of the T20 World Cup, Team India defeated South Africa. However, there was a time when it seemed that the match was slipping out of Team India’s hands. But a catch turned the tables. Team India won the cup, but the hearts were actually won by the Afghanistan team in this T20 World Cup.
The Afghanistan team performed brilliantly. The entire team performed in a way that no one could believe. Even though the journey of the Afghanistan team was only till the semi-finals, this journey was no less than a thorny path. To reach here, a charismatic game was needed, which Afghanistan displayed very well. However, luck did not favour Afghanistan in the semi-finals.

Afghanistan’s bowling played a huge role in their amazing performance. Especially fast bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi made many records. Farooqi was the top bowler of this T20 World Cup. His economy was 6.31. He took 4 wicket haul once and 5 wicket haul once. He became the bowler who took the most wickets in one format of T20 World Cup.
The top batsman also came from the Afghanistan team. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 281 runs in the entire tournament. Captain Rashid Khan also played an important role. He was successful in keeping the entire team united. Rashid also performed brilliantly with his bowling. He took 10 wickets in the World Cup. As a captain, he had full faith in the players of the team. This was the reason due to which the Afghanistan team reached from rags to riches.
