Team India took a U-turn at these 4 turns, victory was in front of South Africa but they were left scratching their heads

If the competition is tough, the result of the match can go either way. The final of the T20 World Cup sometimes went in favour of Team India and sometimes South Africa won. But at very crucial moments, the Indian players did not lose patience. The match seemed to be going in South Africa’s favour many times but Team India finally snatched victory from the jaws of the opponent.

Turning Point- 1, Troubleshooter Characters
Team India, batting first after winning the toss, went on the backfoot when its 3 wickets fell for just 34 runs in 4.3 overs. After captain Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav got out cheaply, Virat Kohli became completely defensive from one end. In such a situation, Axar Patel was promoted and sent first and with his rapid batting, he not only pulled the team out of trouble but also gave Virat Kohli the freedom to play steadily. He along with Virat made a partnership of 72 runs for the fourth wicket. Out of this, 47 runs were only of Axar, which he scored in just 31 balls. The amount of pressure under which Virat was playing can be gauged only from the fact that when Axar was out, Virat had scored only 40 runs in 39 balls. But, at that time, the run rate of Team India was around eight due to Axar’s stormy innings.

Turning point 2, Hardik hunted down Klaasen
One of the world’s most explosive batsmen Heinrich Klaasen completely turned the match around by hitting 24 runs in a single over of Akshar Patel. South Africa needed only 30 runs in the last 30 balls and had 6 wickets left. The most important thing was that Klaasen and David Miller were present at the crease. Then the match seemed to be completely slipping out of Team India’s hands. Then Hardik Pandya revived Team India’s hopes by dismissing Klaasen on the very first ball of the 17th over.

Turning Point 3, Bumrah’s havoc
When Klaasen brought South Africa closer to victory by hitting 24 runs in one over of Akshar Patel, the captain handed the ball to his most lethal weapon Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah blunted the edge of Miller’s bat with Klaasen’s storm in the 16th over. In this over, Bumrah increased the mental pressure on South Africa by giving only 4 runs. When Bumrah came back in the 18th over, South Africa needed 22 runs in 18 balls to win. David Miller was still present at the crease, so the danger was still not over. But, Bumrah conceded only runs in this last over of his quota and also bowled out Jonson, which increased the pressure on South Africa. Because now South Africa had to score 20 runs to win in the last two overs.

Turning point 4, Surya Kumar Yadav’s amazing catch
South Africa had to score 16 runs in the last over and their last hope David Miller was still present at the crease. Miller, who is an expert in playing big shots, hit the first ball of Hardik with great force and sent the ball beyond the boundary line. But at the last moment, Suryakumar Yadav miraculously pushed the ball inside the boundary while being in the air and then caught it. That is, he also ensured the victory of Team India by converting the six into a wicket.
