Pakistan’s Inzamam-ul-Haq accused the Indian bowlers when India defeated Australia and made it to the semi-finals. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets in this match. Inzamam probably did not like Arshdeep’s bowling and he started finding faults in it. Finding faults was fine, but he went beyond that and accused Team India of ball tampering.
Former captain Inzamam said, ‘When Arshdeep was bowling the 15th over, the ball was reverse swinging. Reverse swing cannot be achieved so quickly with a new ball. This means that the ball was ready by the 12th-13th over. It had become capable of reversing. The umpires will have to keep their eyes open.’
On this, Salim Malik says, ‘I often say that eyes are closed about some teams. India is one of them.’ Salim Malik mentions a match and says that when he complained, he was fined. Inzamam-ul-Haq replies to this by saying that if it was a Pakistani bowler, there could have been a ruckus.
