T20 World Cup: Pakistan did not get a strong win in the last match, Ireland troubled them, they had to sweat to score 107 runs

New Delhi. The batsmen disappointed the Pakistan team which played against Ireland in the last league match of the ICC T20 World Cup. After winning the toss, captain Babar Azam decided to bowl first. On the strength of lethal bowling by Shaheen Afridi and Imad Wasim, the team restricted Ireland to a score of just 106 runs. After faltering badly, captain Babar Azam barely led the team to victory.

Pakistan batsmen disappointed
Pakistan’s team had a tough time achieving the small target of 107 runs given by Ireland. The team lost 6 wickets at the score of 62 runs. The pair of Sam Ayub and Mohammad Rizwan could only add 23 runs. Both were out after scoring 17-17 runs. After this, Fakhar Zaman, Usman Khan, Shadab Khan and Shadab Khan got out one after the other. Babar Azam stood at one end and played an unbeaten innings of 32 runs in 34 balls and led Pakistan to victory.

Deadly bowling by Pakistan
Shaheen Afridi proved the decision of Pakistan captain to bowl after winning the toss right by taking two wickets in the first over. He clean bowled Andrew Balbirnie on the second ball and then took the wicket of Lorcan Tucker on the fifth ball. Mohammad Aamir sent back Ireland captain Paul Stirling and put pressure on the team. Before the team could recover, Shaheen took the wicket of Harry Tector.

Ireland lost 6 wickets for just 32 runs in front of Pakistan’s bowling. Imad Wasim came in the end and broke the team’s hopes of a big score by taking three wickets. Gareth Delany and Joshua Little took the team past 100 runs. Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets for 22 runs while Imad took 3 wickets for just 8 runs in 4 overs.
