New Delhi. A new record of being all out under 100 has been set in the T20 World Cup. Afghanistan made this record by bowling out Papua New Guinea (PNG) for just 95 runs. This is the ninth time in the T20 World Cup 2024 that a team could not even touch the score of 100. Papua New Guinea’s team has been all out under 100 runs for the second time in the tournament. Earlier, they were all out for 77 runs against Uganda.

Big scores have not been seen in the T20 World Cup 2024. 29 matches have been played in the tournament so far. Except Australia (201), no team has been able to score 200 even once. On the other hand, there is a record of getting bowled out for low scores. So far in the tournament, there have been 19 innings when the score remained below 99.

T20 World Cup is being played since 2007. In the year 2007, it happened 3 times that a team could not even score 100 runs. The record of getting out for less than 100 runs most of the times was broken in 2014. This time there were four such occasions when a team was restricted to less than 100 runs. This record was broken again in the year 2014. In the World Cup 2014, teams were restricted to less than 100 runs 8 times. This happened once again in the year 2021 but now all the records have been broken in 2024.

In the T20 World Cup, two teams were all out for less than 100 runs twice. These include Papua New Guinea (77, 95) and Uganda (39, 58). The Ugandan team was all out for 39 runs against the West Indies. This is also the lowest score in the T20 World Cup.
