After these matches, the picture of the semi-finals is becoming clear. Teams like India, Australia are in a good position in the points table, while the pressure has increased on teams like West Indies and Afghanistan. The top-2 teams of the group will play the semi-finals
8 teams have reached the Super-8 stage of T20 World Cup 2024. Out of these 8 teams, 4 teams have been placed in Group One. Apart from India, Group-1 has Australia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Group B has England, South Africa, West Indies and USA. The top-2 teams from each group will enter the semi-finals.

India-Australia won the match, West Indies lost
Four matches have been played in Super-8 so far. In the first match, South Africa defeated America. After this, England defeated West Indies. In the third match of Super-8, India defeated Afghanistan. The fourth match was won by Australia, in which it defeated Bangladesh.

Australia is ahead of India in net run rate
Now in the points table, India and Australia have equal 2-2 points in Group-1. But Australia is at number one and India is at number two due to better run rate. Australia’s run rate is 2.471. India’s run rate is 2.350. Afghanistan and Bangladesh have not even opened their account yet.

America is third, West Indies is fourth
In Group-2, England is at number one and South Africa is at number two. Although both these teams have equal points, England is at number one due to the run rate. Its run rate is 1.343. South Africa is at number two with 2 points and 0.900 run rate. West Indies and America are yet to open their account. In net run rate, America (-0.900) is in a better position than West Indies (-1.343).
