New Delhi. Team India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav was seen giving gurumantra to the young players. Suryakumar Yadav met the players of the India Under 19 team at the NCA in Bengaluru on Friday. A camp for young players is being held at the NCA. The India Under 19 team will take on the Australia Under 19 team in ODIs from September 21. Before this series, Surya met the youth and boosted their morale. Suryakumar Yadav encouraged the players to use their unique skills well, unite as a team and focus more on the process.

Suryakumar Yadav, 33, who was appointed India’s T20 captain after Rohit Sharma’s retirement from the shortest format of the game, interacted with Under-19 cricketers at the National Cricket Academy ahead of India’s junior team’s series against Australia starting on September 21. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted on Twitter, “The players of India’s boys Under-19 team got a golden opportunity to interact with India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav on the sidelines of their camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) as part of preparations for the series against Australia Under-19 team.

An NCA source said that Suryakumar told the boys to do full justice to their unique skills and trust the process. Suryakumar said, ‘Always remain the way you are. Each of you has a specific skill and do full justice to it. Focus more on the process and routine. The result will be in your favor.’ The team also includes Samit Dravid, son of former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid. Mohammad Aman of Uttar Pradesh will captain the one-day team, while Soham Patwardhan will lead the team in four-day matches.

India Under 19 team will play 3 ODIs and 2 four-day matches
India Under-19 team will take on Australia Under-19 in three 50-over matches on September 21, 23 and 26 in Puducherry. This will be followed by two four-day matches in Chennai from September 30.
