While going from Sultanpur Civil Court to Lucknow on Friday, Rahul Gandhi’s convoy suddenly stopped at Ramchet Mochi’s shop in MLA Nagar of Guptarganj. Before people could understand anything, Rahul went inside the shop and started talking to Ramchet. During this time Rahul Gandhi also stitched shoes and slippers. He also learned about the problems faced by him in the work. He assured that we will become your voice.

Rahul Gandhi asked how the family runs? Ramchet said that sometimes he gets 100 and sometimes 50 rupees from the shop. On hearing the answer, Rahul got into deep thought and asked how he manages the family with such little income? Ramchet informed Rahul about the details of the work and said that the financial condition of the house is very bad. If I get some financial help, I will start a new business. There is no self-respect in this work. People look at me with contempt. This is the reason why he has kept his son away from this work. Rahul Gandhi consoled him by saying that he will raise everyone’s voice.
Rahul, sitting in the shop, as soon as he asked about the method of stitching slippers and shoes, picked up a slipper and started stitching it. Seeing Rahul’s style, everyone was stunned. Rahul stayed in the shop for about five minutes and kept understanding the intricacies of making shoes and slippers. During this time, he ordered cold drinks and served them to Ramchet and his family. He got photographs taken with the family and also took a selfie himself. After Rahul left, Ramchet said that people consider our work to be lowly, but Rahul Gandhi came and increased our respect. No other leader has done this till date. After talking to him, it felt that there is a leader in the country who listens to the voice of the poor.
Flowers were showered on Rahul in the civil court
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi entered the Civil Court premises at around 11 am on Friday along with Congress State President Ajay Rai and former MLC Deepak Singh. As soon as he arrived, the Congressmen already present there welcomed him with a shower of flowers. During this, the police had to work hard to control the crowd.
Rahul appeared annoyed by the jostling of the workers
After being welcomed at the Civil Court, Rahul Gandhi looked annoyed with the jostling of workers to shake hands. He asked the security personnel to make way. During this, an expression of displeasure was visible on Rahul’s face. However, he did not say anything.

After Rahul reached there, a Congress worker tried to give him a picture of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He kept waving the picture in the air for a long time. Suddenly Rahul’s eyes fell on the picture and he tried to catch it, but then CO Shivam Mishra pushed the picture and the worker back and took Rahul Gandhi towards the court, saving him from the workers.

While coming to the Civil Court, NEET candidates carrying posters and banners under the leadership of Subrat Singh Sunny and Vice President Manas Tiwari met Rahul at Babuganj crossing and thanked him for raising his voice. Rahul Gandhi asked everyone what do you want? On this, the candidates said that the exam should be cancelled. Rahul Gandhi assured them to raise their voice in the House and fight the battle.
