Students can be expelled for these reasons

In response to a separate question, Kirti Vardhan Singh said that a total of 48 Indian students have been deported from the US in the last 3 years. He said, “The US authorities have not officially shared the reasons for the deportation.”

“Unauthorised employment, unauthorised withdrawal from classes, expulsions and suspensions, and failure to report for alternative training employment are some of the possible grounds for cancellation of a student’s visa, resulting in unlawful presence and deportation,” he said.
