Waitomo Cave is not only home to glowworms, but it also has another amazing insect called the cave weta. Also known as cave crickets, weta are found in New Zealand. There are seventy different species of them, one of which, the giant weta, is the heaviest insect in the world. They have been watching the dinosaurs come and go for millions of years.
