Many people, including climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, have been released after being detained at the Delhi border. After which his convoy has left towards Rajghat. He will reach Rajghat in some time. Security arrangements have been tightened at Rajghat. Delhi Police personnel are deployed.
A public interest litigation was filed in the Delhi High Court on Tuesday against his detention. The court has fixed the hearing for October 3. Counsel for the petitioner referred for listing of the case before a bench of Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela.
Wangchuk and several others have reportedly been detained at the Delhi border while marching towards the capital to demand Sixth Schedule status for Ladakh.
