Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico has been seriously injured in the firing. It is being told that several bullets were fired at him in Handlova city of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Local media reports say that the suspect involved in the firing has been taken into custody. After the end of a government meeting, the suspect fired several bullets at PM Fico, seriously injuring him. Foreign Minister of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanar has confirmed that there has been a fatal attack on Prime Minister Robert Fico.

Lubos Blaha, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Slovakia, said that PM Fico was shot and seriously injured in the incident. An eyewitness says he heard gunshots. After this a suspect was seen being taken into custody by the police. The eyewitness also reported seeing someone being pushed into a car by security officers.
