Classical Language Status To Marathi: The Union Cabinet has approved giving the status of classical language to Marathi. Regarding which the reaction of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has come. He said that it is a great honor that Marathi has been given the status of classical language. This honor has been given to 5 languages ​​– Bengali, Marathi, Pali, Prakrit and Assamese. There was a demand for years that Marathi language should be given this honour.

MP Raut further said that leaders of almost all parties in the state, every Chief Minister and every state government have made this demand for the last 30-35 years. If this has happened, then it is the contribution of everyone, not just one person, BJP has a habit of taking credit for everything. They (BJP) should stop industry and business from moving out of this state, the prestige of this state should increase along with Marathi language.

This is the day which should be written in golden letters that my Marathi has attained the status of a classical language. On behalf of all Marathi speakers, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. This was possible because of your strong support. The world will now understand that Maharashtra’s demand for elite status was justified.

Whereas Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis posted on X and wrote that congratulations to all Marathi speakers. Many thanks to the Union Cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving the status of classical language to Marathi language.

Apart from these, Union Home Minister Amit Shah Posted on X and wrote that Marathi is not only a language that produces rich literature, but it has also inspired us to always live as an independent nation.
