The distance was 134 crore kilometers
The astronomical event of Saturn’s lunar eclipse was seen in India after about 18 years. At the time of the eclipse, the moon was about 3,64,994 kilometers away from the Earth. At the same time, the distance of Saturn from the Earth was about 134 crore kilometers. Despite such a difference in distance, their position in the sky was seen.
This scene was also seen in Nepal and China
This event was seen not only in India but also abroad. According to the report of Space.com, apart from India, it was seen in East Africa and Madagascar, North-West Indonesia, South-East Asia, China, Mongolia and parts of Nepal. The reason for Saturn’s lunar eclipse is that when both the planets moving at their own speed change their path, then Saturn appears to rise from behind the moon. Saturn’s rings are visible in it. According to scientists, this scene could be seen only with the naked eye. However, a small telescope had to be used to see Saturn’s rings. Experts say that this same scene will be seen again in the sky in October this year. Such an event will happen once again on the night of October 14. Saturn’s lunar eclipse will be clearly visible in the sky.
