Schools reopening after 20 years in Naxal affected areas in Chhattisgarh Bastar division ANN

Bastar News: In Chhattisgarh’s Bastar division, which is suffering from Naxalism, due to the efforts of the soldiers, not only roads and electricity facilities are reaching every village, but schools are also being opened to give the right to education to the children of these villages who have been deprived of education for the last two decades. This year too, in the new school education session, 24 schools which were closed for the last several years have been reopened in Bijapur district itself. Along with this, 32 new schools have been started.

After nearly 20 years, the school bell rang in this Naxalgarh on Wednesday and the children reached school very happily. Mutwandi village is also included in these villages, where a few months ago a child was killed in cross firing, after which the soldiers not only brought the Naxalites on the back foot from this village but also built a school here under the shadow of security so that school education could start for the children here and today the children of this village reached school happily. On the first day of school, the children were welcomed by applying tilak on their foreheads.

The administration team knocked on every door to send children to school

In fact, in Bijapur district, along with taking development work to every village through Niyyad Nellnar, an appeal is being made to return to the mainstream of education through the School Phir Chale Abhiyan (School Vende Varrat), and its effect is now visible in Naxal-affected areas. This is the reason why the administration focused on Mutwandi village and has started a school here again after 20 years and the school bell ringing in this village after 20 years has created a wave of happiness among the parents of the children.

Bijapur district education officer Ramesh Nishad said that now the children here will be able to go to school and also get education of A B C D. Education officer Ramesh Nishad said that to end the fear of Naxalites among the villagers and to send children to school, a door-to-door campaign was launched by local teachers under the School Vende Varrat Pandum and the teachers knocked on the door to bring back the school dropouts and non-admitted children to school and assured the families that now the children of this village will also get the right to education and their future will be bright.

After this, the villagers themselves prepared huts for schools at many places, so that their children’s future could be brightened in the temple of education. The District Education Officer said that at present, educated unemployed people of the village will be made Shikshadoots and will be provided honorarium every month. Through these Shikshadoots, children will be able to get better education. Uniforms and notebooks have also been provided to these children by the School Education Department.

24 closed schools and 32 new schools were opened

Bijapur Collector Anurag Pandey said that the Mahim School Vende Varrat Pandum run by the district administration is having a wide impact in Naxal areas, the result of which is that in the new academic session, 24 closed schools and 32 new schools have been opened in Bijapur district alone, in which there are more than 25 villages like Dumripalnar, Todka, Shavnar, Korcholi, Kavadgaon where schools have been opened after 20 years.
