Sachin Pilot Congress requests CM Bhajan Lal Sharma to stop shifting beekeeping center from Tonk

Sachin Pilot On Beekeeping Center: Former Deputy CM of Rajasthan and Congress leader Sachin Pilot has urged CM Bhajanlal Sharma to stop shifting of the beekeeping centre from Tonk. He has written a letter to the Chief Minister demanding to stop the process of shifting the beekeeping centre from Tonk to Bharatpur. He has cited farmers and unemployed youth in the letter.

According to news agency ANI, the Congress leader wrote to the CM, “Keeping in mind the years-old demand of the farmers of Tonk, the state government had announced in the last budget that the said center would be established here. There is immense potential for beekeeping business in Tonk, this will greatly benefit the farmers and unemployed youth of Tonk district as well as the surrounding districts.

Anger among farmers, youth and farmer organizations- Pilot

He said, “There is anger among the farmers, youth and farmer organizations of the district due to shifting of the beekeeping center from Tonk to Bharatpur.” Sachin Pilot is a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Tonk. Congress MP from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur Harish Chandra Meena also said on X that the decision of the state government is very unfortunate. He said, “The decision to shift the Center of Excellence in Beekeeping, opened in Devdawas (Tonk) on its own recommendation under the budget announcement of last year (23-24), to Bharatpur is extremely unfortunate and motivated by political malice.”

Request for immediate cancellation of the order

Along with this, the Congress MP also wrote a letter to CM Bhajanlal demanding immediate cancellation of the order. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented the state budget in February 2024. The budget promised financial assistance to farmers, free electricity up to 300 units, Ladli Suraksha Yojana, focus on infrastructure and development and others. Finance Minister Diya Kumari also announced Rs 1,000 crore for setting up and upgrading schools, colleges and hospitals in the state.
