Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya told the UN Security Council on Friday that the world will suffer the consequences if Western countries allow Ukraine to attack Russia with long-range missiles. Nebenzya told the 15-member Security Council that the truth is that NATO wants to attack a nuclear power country under the cover of Ukraine. If this happens, the consequences will be very disastrous.
On Friday itself, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that no one should doubt the warning given by their president to the western countries. In fact, Ukraine is constantly demanding from the US and the western countries that it needs long-range missiles to attack Russian military bases. On Thursday, some media reports claimed that the US and Britain are going to jointly give Ukraine the long-range AMRAAM missile system. On this, Putin had said that giving Ukraine permission to attack with long-range missiles will not be tolerated. Under the guise of Ukraine, NATO wants to directly join this war. Putin said that Ukraine is already attacking Russia with drones and other weapons, but attacking with the long-range weapons of the western countries will bring disastrous results.
If NATO attacks, the situation will change
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that if Ukraine attacks Russia with long-range missiles, then the situation will clearly change. Peskov said that if NATO countries give long-range missiles to Ukraine and they attack Russia, then it will be considered that they are directly at war with Russia. In this situation, we will respond according to the options available to us.
Ukraine does not have long-range missiles
Russia claimed that Kiev does not have long-range missiles. To use these weapons, intelligence via satellite is needed, which Ukraine does not have. Only European Union and US satellites can provide such information. Russia stressed that the most important thing is that only NATO military personnel can operate these missile systems. Ukrainian soldiers do not have the capability to operate it.
