The President’s Office said that Putin will also reach Hanoi on a two-day visit to Vietnam from June 19. Earlier, Putin had visited Pyongyang after becoming the President for the first time in 2000. Kim Jong Un visited Russia in September last year. The Kremlin said that there is a plan to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian fields. Also, views will be exchanged on the international and regional agenda. Many bilateral agreements will also be signed. It is believed that Putin can meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and discuss increasing military cooperation. Both Russia and North Korea have many differences with America. Due to this, both countries are coming closer.

There could be a deal on arms
Putin is visiting North Korea at a time when many sanctions have been imposed on Russia at the international level. It is believed that North Korea will provide Russia with the necessary weapons in exchange for economic aid and technology transfer, because weapons are very important for Putin since the Ukraine war. At the same time, there were reports recently that North Korea is constantly testing its missiles and weapons, even then the news was that this is a show of power to woo Russia. In September last year, Kim Jong also visited Russia for a meeting with Putin. This was the first meeting of the two leaders after 2019. The US and South Korea have been constantly accusing North Korea of ​​providing ammunition, missiles and other military equipment to Russia. However, both Pyongyang and Moscow have rejected these allegations.

Putin is going to North Korea after 24 years
This is the first visit of Russian President Putin after 24 years. Earlier he had visited North Korea in 2000.
