Russia Ukraine War Latest News: It’s been three years since the war between Russia and Ukraine, but the tension between them does not seem to be ending. Missile attacks are continuing from Russia’s side. Now there is news that Russia is preparing a major attack on Ukraine. Ukrainian intelligence claims that the Russian Army is preparing to launch its intercontinental ballistic missile RS-26 Rubezh on Ukraine.
Ukraine Intelligence has also claimed that Russia can launch this missile from Kapustin Yar Air Base. This area is also called Astrakhan. It is said that this missile is capable of carrying nuclear weapons, however, it is very unlikely that Russia will place a nuclear bomb in it during the attack.
Why is the danger of a major attack from Russia looming?
In fact, Ukraine allegedly attacked Russia with US-made ATACMS on Tuesday (19 November) and Britain’s Storm Shadow missiles on Wednesday (20 November 2024). It is a long range air launched missile. The weight of a missile is 1300 kg. The 16.9 feet long missile has a width of 25 inches and height of 19 inches.
❗️Ukrainian monitor channels say that, POSSIBLY, Russians are preparing to launch the RS-26 from Kapustin (Astrakhan) in an experimental version.

What is the specialty of this missile?
The range of this missile is up to 6,000 kilometers and its weight is estimated at 40-50 tonnes. This missile moves towards its target at a speed of 24,500 km/hr. Experts say that it is not within the power of any air defense system in the world to stop it. Four weapons of 150/300 kiloton each can be installed in it simultaneously. That means this missile is equipped with MIRV technology. That means it can attack four targets simultaneously. This missile is also capable of carrying the Avangard hypersonic glide vehicle. The RS-26 program reportedly began in 2006. The missile was first launched on September 27, 2011.
