They are opposed to Ajit Pawar because of his links with irrigation and Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank scams. But after Junior Pawar joined hands with BJP, the anti-Pawar rhetoric was left behind. Rubbing salt to the wound, he was made Deputy Chief Minister in the Mahayuti government.”

The leader further said,Lok Sabha ElectionsIt was evident in the elections that RSS-BJP workers were not willing to campaign for NCP candidates and remained complacent in many places. As a result, the BJP’s seat count fell from 23 in 2019 to nine in 2024.” Ratan Sharda, a lifelong RSS worker, said in his article in Organiser that the alliance with Ajit reduced the “brand value of the BJP” and it became “just another party with no difference”.

This use and dump policy may backfire. But another scenario is that keeping Ajit as an ally may not be beneficial.”
