Rohit Sharma was upset with the rules of IPL, former coach Shastri supported it, said- When something new comes…

Chennai. There has been a lot of talk about the impact player rule in this season of the Indian Premier League. Indian team captain Rohit Sharma did not consider it right. And many veterans strongly criticized this rule. Now a different statement has come out regarding this. Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri has supported this. He has said that this results in close contests.

The rule implemented in the competition last season has been the subject of debate this season. Some experts and current players say that this is eliminating the role of all-rounders. Shastri said, “Whenever a new rule comes, there will be people who will try to explain why it is not right. But over time, when you see the scores – 200 and 190 runs – and then some players made the most of that opportunity, people will start rethinking their thinking about it.

Shastri supported the rule and said that the game has to evolve with time. He said on the YouTube channel of India’s senior spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, “The Impact Player (rule) is good. You have to evolve with time. This happens in other sports too. This has resulted in close matches. I think this is a good rule. You saw how many close matches we saw in last year’s IPL. This has made a big difference.

Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) Secretary Jai Shah had recently said that this rule is not permanent. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Delhi Capitals’ Akshar Patel and Mukesh Kumar have also expressed their unhappiness about this rule.
