The doctors protesting against the murder of a junior doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College have now written a letter to President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the letter, the doctors have demanded intervention to get justice for the deceased doctor and other doctors in the RG Kar case.

Copies of the four-page letter written by the West Bengal Junior Doctors Front were also sent to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Union Health Minister JP Nadda. Doctor Aniket Mahato said that the letter was prepared at the beginning of the month and sent on Thursday night.

Supreme Court asks doctors to return to work

On September 9, the Supreme Court had urged all doctors to return to work by 5 pm on September 10. The apex court had warned that if they continue to remain absent from work, disciplinary action will be taken. However, doctors are still continuously protesting to get justice for the victim. Junior doctors are continuously expressing their protest against the incident. They are demanding justice.
