Summons issued to car owner

According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Surya. He was sleeping on the footpath in Besant Nagar on Monday night when a luxury car crushed him, leading to his death. In the case, Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing Police has registered a case under Section 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC. This is a bailable offense. Summons have been issued to the car owner.

Media reports are claiming that Madhuri fled from the spot immediately, while her friend got out of the car and started arguing with the people who had gathered after the accident.
