High Security Registration Plates: Rajasthan Transport Department will now take strict action against those who do not install high security registration number plate on their vehicles. If the high security number plate is not seen on the vehicle, the Transport Department will take action after June 30. The Transport Department has fixed different dates for installing new number plates on vehicles according to different numbers.

According to information received from sources, 30 to 35% vehicle owners have still not changed the number plate of their vehicles. In such a situation, after June 30, the Transport Department will raid such vehicles and take action against them. Also, a fine of up to five thousand can be charged. Different dates have been set according to the number of vehicles for installing high security number plates. Applications are being made for this online and through e-mitra.

Different dates for different numbers
The date for application for high security number plate for vehicle owners with registration number 1 and 2 has been fixed by the Transport Department as 29 February, for those with last number 3 and 4 it is 31 March, for those with last number 5 and 6 it is 30 April, for those with last number 7 and 8 it is 31 May and for those with last number 9 and 0 it is 30 June. Despite this, new number plates are not visible on even 20% of the vehicles till now.

The Transport Department believes that new number plates are being installed to ensure vehicle safety, vehicle theft and easy tracking of the vehicle in case of an accident. For this reason, new number plates are being installed. Jodhpur Transport Officer JR Bairwa said that different dates have been set for the convenience of vehicle owners in getting number plates made for all vehicles. No new guidelines have been issued yet regarding the extension of the date. Action will be taken against those who have not changed the plate as per the rules. Due to which a fine of five thousand rupees will also be collected from the vehicle owner.
