Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023 News: During voting for the assembly elections in Rajasthan on Saturday (25 November), while villagers in one village boycotted the voting, minor clashes took place between supporters of the candidates at some places. However, overall voting has been peaceful so far. People of Charwali village of Pindwara Abu constituency of Sirohi district boycotted the voting.

An official said that the demand of the villagers is to change their Gram Panchayat and construction of a service road along the highway near their village. He says that many road accidents have happened on the road connecting the village to the highway, hence there is a need for a service road. There are 890 voters in the village. Officials tried to persuade them to vote.

Political agent dies at polling booth
An agent of a political party died on Saturday (25 November) in Pali district of Rajasthan. According to officials, Agent Shanti Lal probably died due to heart failure. An official said that Shanti Lal was a political party agent at booth number 47 in Sumerpur constituency and he collapsed there. He was taken to the nearest hospital. From there he was taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The officer said, perhaps this happened due to heart failure.

Clash between two groups in Fatehpur
62 year old Satyendra Arora died of a heart attack at a polling booth in Udaipur. An official said that Arora collapsed at the polling booth. Family members took him to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared him dead. On the other hand, stone pelting took place after a clash between two groups in Fatehpur, Sikar. Police said that this incident happened near a polling booth. Police Officer Indraj Singh said that a policeman was injured in stone pelting between two parties at booth number 128. A clash has been reported between two groups of supporters of two candidates in Bari seat of Dholpur.

Voter brought to polling station by stretcher
A newly married couple reached Srimadhopur in Sikar to cast their vote. He got married yesterday. In Chittorgarh, a bed-ridden voter was brought to the polling booth on a stretcher. Selfie points were set up at polling stations across the state, where people, especially young voters, took selfies. Voting for 199 out of 200 assembly seats in the state started at 7 am. Elections for Karanpur seat in Sriganganagar district have been postponed due to the death of the Congress candidate.
