Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Election 2024: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday met NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar and some other opposition leaders from Maharashtra. Ways to strengthen the India alliance were discussed in this meeting. Sharad Pawar met Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, in the Parliament House complex. Sources said that ways to strengthen the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance in Maharashtra and the political situation in the state were also discussed.
Assembly elections are due in Maharashtra later this year, in which the Congress-Shiv Sena (UBT)-NCP (SCP) will try to oust the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance from power.
