UP News: There was a stir in Aligarh jail when the health of the prisoner deteriorated. The prisoner was taken to the medical college for treatment. The doctor declared the prisoner dead. The family members have accused the jail administration of negligence. The jail administration has rejected the allegations of the family members. The matter is of Mahfooz Nagar Shah Jamal of Rorawar police station area. 34-year-old Shakir’s son Rafiq was arrested in a murder case.
On Saturday morning, the jail administration informed the family about Shakir’s ill health. The family members were told that Shakir has been admitted to the medical college for treatment. Shakir was dead when his family members reached the medical college. Angered by the death of the prisoner, the family members created a ruckus in the medical college. Due to the uproar, an atmosphere of chaos was created in the medical college.

The doctor also told that the jail administration had brought Shakir in a dead condition. The brother of the deceased says that he met Shakir in the district jail yesterday. Shakir was absolutely healthy during the meeting. Shakir died due to the negligence of the jail administration. The victim’s family has demanded compensation for Shakir’s dependents.
Family members accused of negligence
He said that the jail administration should take strict action against the culprit in the case. Jail Superintendent Bijendra Singh Yadav said that the prisoner’s death was natural. Therefore no statement can be given in the matter. The body has been sent for post-mortem. The jail superintendent had confirmed the death of the prisoner over telephone. But he clearly refused to give any statement in the matter. The family is waiting for Shakir’s body.
