Prayagraj women performed Ganga Aarti for the first time on Ganga Dussehra Ann

Prayagraj News: A unique example of women power was seen in the Sangam city of Prayagraj when women performed aarti here on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra. This is the first time that women have performed the entire aarti by holding the aarti patra in their hands. Here, in the Jai Triveni Jai Prayagraj Aarti Samiti organized by the administration, women performed the entire aarti by holding the patra in their hands.

The girls who perform the Aarti were given proper training for this. These girls will now perform the Aarti at least once a week and on all special occasions. Till now there was no tradition of women performing Aarti. There may be a controversy on this in the coming days. The special thing is that the girls who perform the Aarti are not only from the Brahmin community but also from other castes.

A large number of people were present to see this Aarti performed by women. According to the head priest of Aarti committee, Pradeep Pandey, women are no longer behind men in any field. PM Modi and his government also give the same message. This tradition has been started to give the message of empowerment of women. According to Shreyasi Pandey, Anushka Singh and Vaishnavi Kesarwani, who participated in the Aarti, this is a unique experience for them too, which makes them proud.

According to the organizer Pradeep Pandey, seven platforms have been built for Aarti. Aarti is performed daily using seven vessels. Currently, nine girls have been trained for Aarti. These girls are performing Aarti in special Indian traditional attire. According to him, this tradition started in Prayagraj can prove to be a milestone. There could not have been a better occasion than Ganga Dussehra for this beginning.
