Prayagraj Allahabad High Court releases order to arrest DGP on dowry death case ann

Prayagraj News: Allahabad High Court has made a harsh comment on the dowry murder case. The High Court has given orders to UP DGP regarding dowry murder cases. The High Court has ordered the investigating officers to issue instructions to conduct a comprehensive and every angle investigation in dowry murder cases. The court has said that there should be a thorough investigation in cases of unnatural deaths of married women within 7 years. The High Court has asked to send a copy of the order to all the district judges.

Allahabad High Court on Saturday, while hearing a case, said that the investigating officer should make it clear in his report whether the case is of murder, dowry death or suicide due to incitement by in-laws. The High Court has also objected to the regular and mechanical addition of section 302 of murder by the trial court judges. The court has said that the trial court judges should also frame charges under section 302 of murder only after being fully satisfied on the basis of available evidence.

All district judges were asked to send a copy of the order?
The court further said that in normal cases of murder, charges should not be framed under dowry murder. The High Court has also ordered to send a copy of this order to the DGP of UP and all the district judges. The division bench of Justice Rahul Chaturvedi and Justice Mohammad Azhar Hussain Idrisi has issued this order. The High Court has given the order while hearing the petitions of Rammilan Bunkar and others of Lalitpur district.
