With the departure of monsoon, the pressure of pollution from neighboring states has increased on Delhi. Due to this, the mood of the air in the capital has started deteriorating. About 60 percent share in this is from other states including Haryana, UP, while about 40 percent source of pollution is Delhi’s own. Interestingly, due to changing wind direction, sometimes Uttar Pradesh has the upper hand and sometimes Haryana has the upper hand. In this case, Haryana has been the major source of pollution in Delhi in the first two days of October. Most pollutants from Haryana are expected to reach the capital by Friday.
