PM Surya Ghar Scheme In MP: Beneficiaries are claiming to get double benefit through PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. They say that firstly subsidy is being given in the scheme. On the other hand, their electricity bill has also reduced considerably. The bills of those consumers whose bills were already available have gone into minus.
Solar panels are being installed by people through the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. This has reduced the electricity bills of consumers significantly. According to Dewas Collector Rishabh Gupta, the district administration is also taking initiatives to make people aware so that more people can take advantage of this scheme.
Subsidy of 78 thousand rupees received
Mukesh Chaudhary, a resident of village Kailod in Dewas district, has installed the solar panel of “Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme” on the roof of his house. Beneficiary Mukesh Chaudhary told that his house has electricity connection from the electricity department. According to the electricity consumption, the bill was sometimes less and sometimes more. He installed a 3 kilowatt solar panel on the roof of his house. Under this scheme, he also received a subsidy of 78 thousand rupees.

Beneficiary Chaudhary said that the electricity generated through the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme is provided to the electricity department. After this, the electricity bill will come as per the consumption. If our electricity consumption is less and the electricity production is more, then our electricity bill will come in minus. Our electricity bill will also be adjusted as per the scheme.
