Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday gifted projects worth more than Rs 11,200 crore to Maharashtra. This also includes the inauguration of the Pune Metro section from District Court to Swargate. The PM was to inaugurate it on September 26, but his Pune visit was canceled due to rain.

According to the information, the PM laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various projects through video conferencing on Sunday afternoon. The Pune Metro Rail Project (Phase-1) was completed with the inauguration of the Pune Metro section. The cost of the underground section between District Court to Swargate is approximately Rs 1,810 crore. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Swargate to Katraj Extension. This is going to cost around Rs 2,955 crore.
He also dedicated to the nation the Bidkin Industrial Area, a transformational project covering an area of 7,855 acres under the National Industrial Corridor Development Program of the Government of India. The project developed under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor holds immense potential as a vibrant economic hub in the Marathwada region.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Solapur Airport, which will significantly improve connectivity and make Solapur more accessible to tourists, business travelers and investors. At the same time, PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of the memorial of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule’s first girls’ school in Bhidewada.
