‘The budget shows the weakness of the government’
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, while cornering the government on the issue of budget, said, ‘This budget shows how weak the government is. We all were demanding support price for the farmers. We demand package for farmers, package for the poor but to whom did this government give package, those who are running the government. Package is being given to run the government. Bihar and Andhra Pradesh got package, we do not say that package should not be given. Money should be given for development but there should be no discrimination with other states, the expressway you are giving to Bihar, if it is connected to UP, then it will be more beneficial for the country. We cannot accept discrimination with Uttar Pradesh. Package India alliance people have also kept it ready if the government has to be formed with the package only.’

Misa Bharti said – there is a rattle for Bihar in the budget
RJD MP Misa Bharti said, ‘What has Bihar got? Somewhere, the sword hanging over the PM’s head has been averted by giving them a rattle and a lollipop. There is nothing for the middle class in this. There is nothing for the youth, there has been no talk on employment. Many of the schemes that they have announced are already running, they have just been packaged and presented in a new way. There are elections in Bihar, so we and the public feel that these will prove to be election announcements.’

Raghav Chadha said- what did those states which gave unprecedented support to BJP get?
AAP MP Raghav Chaddha said, ‘This is an amazing budget in which almost every section of the country is disappointed except for two people, Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu. I want to ask what did those states, which gave unprecedented support to BJP and gave almost all the seats of their states, get in this budget? The states which did not give much support to BJP, or the states with whose support the government is barely able to run, were given everything. The gist of this is that the state which gives less votes to BJP will be given more, so learn this for the future.’

‘It seems the people of Lucknow have angered Delhi’
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said, “Instead of giving the support price to the farmers, they are giving it to the alliance partners. Big dreams were shown to Uttar Pradesh, what did Uttar Pradesh get? If it is a double engine government, then it should have got double benefit, benefit of Delhi, benefit of Lucknow, but it seems that Delhi is no longer looking towards Lucknow or the people of Lucknow have angered the people of Delhi and its result is visible in the budget. If development is going to Bihar, then why is Uttar Pradesh being left out? If the floods of Bihar have to be stopped, then how will you stop the floods of Bihar without stopping the floods of Nepal and Uttar Pradesh? If you first stop the floods of Uttar Pradesh and Nepal, then the floods of Bihar will stop automatically.”

‘Opposition is trying to mislead on budget’
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said on the Union Budget, ‘The budget is really good and everyone has welcomed it. The opposition is trying to mislead by saying that this is the budget of only two states. The allocation of capital expenditure of Rs 11 lakh 11 thousand 111 crore for the construction of infrastructure is not for 1-2 states, it is for the whole country. From infrastructure to medical, giving concessions to the middle class people, facilities given to farmers or giving separate packages to tribals, all this has been done for the country. It is wrong to say that the entire Union Budget is for one or two states, if Bihar is getting some benefit in the budget, then what is the problem in it? This is the budget of the whole country, which is presented collectively for everyone.’
