ICC CWC 2023: Pakistan and Bangladesh faced each other at the Eden Gardens Stadium on Tuesday. Pakistan won this match easily by seven wickets. However, there is another story, which is now in the headlines. In fact, two days before this Pakistan match, i.e. on Sunday, Babar Azam’s team had reportedly decided to order food from outside instead of having dinner in the team hotel. According to the news agency report, the team skipped the 5 star hotel food for dinner and ordered food through a food delivery app.

ANI’s Accordingthe Pakistani cricket team decided to skip dinner at a five-star hotel on Sunday, two days before their match against Bangladesh on Tuesday, and ordered their food from a Kolkata restaurant. The report says that the team ordered biryani, kebab and chaap from a popular Zam Zam restaurant in Kolkata using the Zomato app. At present, it is not clear why the Pakistani team refused to eat in a 5-star hotel.

Shadman Faiz, director of Zam Zam restaurant, told the news agency that initially he had no idea that the order was from the Pakistan cricket team, but later he came to know about it.

He said in his statement, “The order came through an online food delivery platform. He ordered three dishes which were biryani, kebab and chaap. He ordered it after 7 pm on Sunday. Initially, we were not Knew the order was from the Pakistan cricket team, but we came to know about it later. I hope they liked the food.”

He further added, “People from every country should come and taste our food. Kolkata has its own style of biryani which is very famous all over the world.”

Let us tell you that Pakistan has won the 31st match of the World Cup and its 7th match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The team has registered its third win of the tournament by defeating Bangladesh by 7 wickets. Bangladesh had won the toss in the match and decided to bat first and could not even play the full 50 overs and were all out on the score of 204 runs in 45.1 overs. Instead, Pakistan achieved the target in just 32.3 overs and kept their hopes alive for the semi-finals. With this defeat, Bangladesh is out of the race for the semi-finals.
