Pakistan Shahbaz government reduced the prices of petrol and diesel before Bakrid electricity prices also reduced

Pakistan Diesel-Petrol Price: Pakistan’s Shahbaz government has given a big gift to the people of its country before Bakrid. Pakistan, which is facing financial crisis, has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel. Before Eid-al-Azha, PM Shahbaz has announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 10.2 and high-speed diesel by Rs 2.33 per liter. These changes have come into effect from midnight of June 14 i.e. June 15.

The government of Pakistan has reduced the price of diesel-petrol as well as electricity for industries by Rs 10.69 per unit. The government’s aim is to accelerate employment activities in the country. Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed this and said that the new prices of petrol will come into effect from midnight (15 June). An official statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office said that the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 2.33 per liter to Rs 267.89, which was earlier priced at Rs 270.22 per liter.

Petrol and diesel became cheaper for 15 days
After the statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Finance Department issued an official notification for the latest price cut. It said that the new prices of petrol and diesel will remain applicable for the next fortnight. The notification said that ‘during the last fortnight, a mixed trend has been observed in the prices of petroleum products in the international market.’ The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has determined the consumer price based on the price variation in the international market.

Industrial electricity cheaper by Rs 10.69 per unit
According to Pakistan’s Geo TV, the government had cut the prices of petrol and HSD by Rs 4.74 per liter and Rs 3.86 in its third consecutive fortnightly review on May 31. Diesel and petrol prices have come down three times in a row in the last one and a half months due to the fall in global oil prices. The new fuel prices were the second relief given by the Prime Minister, as earlier the government had cut the prices of industrial electricity by Rs 10.69 per unit.
