According to Pakistan’s newspaper ‘The Dawn’, this incident has led to a blame game between the security forces and the Baloch organization that was attacked – Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC). While Kalat Deputy Commissioner Shayak Baloch said that the organization’s fleet attacked the Levis checkpoint near Mastang, the head of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, Beberg Baloch, said that when they were traveling on the Quetta-Karachi highway, a security force officer opened fire on their fleet.

In the hospital where the injured have been admitted, the condition of five people is said to be critical. Meanwhile, Beberg Baloch said that the fleet going to Gwadar was stopped in Thana Sona Khan area. He was also a part of this fleet. He said that the fleet was stopped from going to Mastang and for this the security forces lathicharged and even fired tear gas shells on the people.

In a post on X, the Baloch Yakjehti community said that the state army and police attacked their peaceful processions and opened fire on innocent people. Another BYC leader Mehrang Baloch said that security forces have also arrested 200 people going to Gwadar. However, the government rejected the claims of the Baloch organization in this incident, calling it false.

The government has said that the police and security forces were not ordered to do anything like this by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti or the provincial government. Our doors are still open for talks. The government said that peaceful demonstration is the right of the people. But the Baloch Yakjehti Committee only wants to remember its rights and ignores the authority of the administration.
