Pakistan Honor Killing: In the Punjab province of Pakistan, he took his life by attacking his sister and her lover with an ax for the sake of false honour. According to PTI report, police informed on Wednesday (November 22) that the man had been suspecting his sister of having a love affair with another man for several days. Due to this suspicion, he brutally murdered his sister along with her lover.
The incident of honor killing in Pakistan took place on Tuesday in Alipur tehsil of Muzaffarnagar district, about 375 kilometers from the provincial capital Lahore. According to Alipur tehsil police officer Haseeb Javed, employee Hussain suspected that his sister Zaithan Bibi (20) had relations with Faiyaz Hussain.

The police officer informed that the accused employee Hussain followed his sister on Tuesday and she met him at Faiyaz’s house. There the accused attacked his sister and her lover with an axe, due to which they died on the spot. After committing the crime, the accused surrendered before the police and confessed to the crime. Javed said that the accused believed that this had hurt the honor of his family, so he killed his sister and her lover. He said that a case of murder has been registered against the suspect.
Family members responsible behind the murder
Every year many people are murdered in Pakistan in the name of honor killing. Most of its victims are women. According to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, every year about a thousand women are killed in the country in the name of false honour. Victims of honor killings are widely believed to have brought shame and dishonor to their families by marrying or entering into relationships against their will. Often family members are behind such murders.
