It has to take loans again and again to run the country. Maharashtra alone has a much higher GDP than Pakistan, which always spews venom against India. While India’s GDP in the year 2024 was $3397 billion, Pakistan’s GDP shrunk to just $338 billion. Today, Maharashtra alone’s GDP is much higher than Pakistan. At present, Maharashtra’s GDP is close to $439 billion, which is much higher than Pakistan’s $338 billion GDP.
Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh are also far ahead
After Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and UP are very strong states in India. Tamil Nadu has a GDP of Rs 23.6 lakh crore while UP has a GDP of Rs 22.6 lakh crore. Karnataka is in fourth place with a GDP of Rs 22.4 lakh crore, while Gujarat comes in fifth place with a GDP of Rs 19.4 lakh crore. The state with the lowest GDP in India is Mizoram, its GDP is Rs 0.3 lakh crore.
Lowest income in UP and Bihar
According to the Times of India report, India’s per capita income is equal to many countries. The situation of Delhi, Goa and Sikkim is equal to South Africa, while the condition of states like UP and Bihar is like Rwanda and Somalia. The report said that the annual GDP per capita in Sikkim is Rs 5.20 lakh. Goa has Rs 4.72 lakh, Delhi has Rs 4.45 lakh. Telangana has a GDP per capita of Rs 3.12, while Karnataka is in fifth place with a per capita income of Rs 3.02 lakh. On the other hand, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are the most backward states in terms of per capita income. The annual per capita income in Bihar is just Rs 54 thousand, while Uttar Pradesh is in the second position from the bottom with an annual income of Rs 84 thousand.
