A vegetable seller in the Delhi market said, “The price of onion has reached Rs 60 to Rs 70 per kg. We buy it from the market, so whatever price we get, it is the same price we sell here.” It has an impact. Due to the increase in prices, the sale of onion has also decreased, but people are still buying it to some extent, because it is an important part of the diet here.”
Faiza, a buyer, expressed her concern over onion prices and said, “I have bought onions at Rs 70 per kg, whereas their prices should have been lower as per the season. But they have increased. This has changed our eating habits.” are changing. I appeal to the government to at least reduce the prices of vegetables consumed daily.”
On November 8, onion prices in Delhi are around Rs 80 per kg. Onion prices have increased in many other states also. Onion is available at Rs 70 to 80 per kg in many markets in Mumbai.
